Optomet Laser Doppler Vibrometer (LDV)
Non-contact vibration measurement from atomic scales to large structures — zero added mass.
[ Non-Contact ][ SWIR Laser ][ 160 MS/s ]
Overview
Using advanced laser and interferometry, the Optomet LDV measures vibrations on objects ranging from atomic scale to large buildings — entirely non-contact with no added mass effect. Based on the Mach-Zehnder interferometer principle to measure Doppler frequency shift for velocity determination.
Key Features
- Full digital signal processing at 160 MS/s sampling rate with extremely high dynamic range
- Fiber Series: fiber-coupled measurement head for enclosed spaces, climate chambers, and extreme radiation environments
- Nova Series: SWIR short-wave infrared laser for dark/rough surfaces, biological tissue, and long working distances
- Vector Series: helium-neon visible laser for highly reflective surfaces, through-water measurement, and microsystems
- Scanning LDV: world's first SWIR all-digital scanning vibrometer — industry's largest optical aperture, no surface treatment required
